Erin Carter started as a volunteer at the Albin Polasek Museum before joining staff as the Volunteer Coordinator and Visitor Services Administrator in 2016. Erin earned a Bachelor of Arts in Art History at the University of South Florida. She also holds a Master of Arts in Art History from the University of South Florida with a specialty in Northern Renaissance art. Her research interests focus on the material culture of female monastic communities in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.
Previously, Erin worked as a volunteer for nine years for a local youth organization, in which she mentored and taught acting to students from the ages of twelve to nineteen. In recent years, she has presented research at the 49th International Congress of Medieval Studies and the 2015 and 2016 Southeastern College of Art Conferences. Erin has been teaching art history at Full Sail University since 2013 and is also an outreach lecturer for the Orlando Museum of Art.
