Sculpture History

Spanning over six decades from the early 1900s until his death in 1965, Albin Polasek’s work in the field of representational sculpture exemplified the intellect of an accomplished National Academician coupled with the innate ability to see the beauty of the human body and the splendor of the soul.

Ranging in subject from historical to religious to mythological and created initially in various mediums, Polasek’s body of work significantly embodied the talent of an artistic genius who sought to portray subjects as he saw them—full of inspiration, life, and endowed with a story to tell.
